Hyderabad, July 19 : Telangana Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy on Saturday announced that the State Government would take measures to convert RTC into a profitable institution.
Speaking to media persons after reviewing the performance of RTC with the officials at the State Secretariat here, Mahender Reddy said that the RTC has a huge potential for growth. He said proper decisions and better administration would change the fate of RTC in the next few months. He also informed that a team of RTC and traffic police officials would visit the Mumbai on August 5th and 6th to study the traffic and public transport management.
Mahender informed that the RTC would add 80 new Volvo buses to its fleet. They would include 30 buses for Hyderabad, 30 for Warangal and 20 for Karimnagar district. He said Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao wants the RTC to connect all the villages in the State. INN
