Punjagutta nala works to be over in 100 days, assures GHMC

Hyderabad, July 18 : GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar said that the GHMC would complete the total project of nala work near Punjagutta Model House in a span of 100 days.

The Commissioner on Friday inspected the site and checked the reasons for non-completion of the project since six long years. He promised the local public that he would personally review the project on daily basis and asked the Zonal Officials to send him SMS on daily progress. He said that this project will provide a complete solution for inundation of the area and chocking of the roads and he has directed the officials to come up with a short term mechanism for solving the problems faced by the local public.

Somesh Kumar has directed the officials concerned to divide the work in to smaller segments and engage more labourer to complete the project within 100 days. He said that one of the reasons for delay in executing the project was heavy traffic on the road. He appealed the local public to bear for 100 more days time so that the works would be completed by providing a permanent solution for the inundation problem.

Central Zone Commissioner Dr. N. Satyanarayana, Engineer-in-Chief R Dhan Singh, Deputy Commissioner MSS Somaraju and Superintending Engineer Ramesh were also present.  INN
