Hyderabad, July 16 : Telangana Congress legislators on Wednesday accused the TRS Government of having failed to make proper representation with the Centre over the Polavaram issue.
Speaking to media persons separately Congress legislators – Dr J Geetha Reddy, DK Aruna, T Jeevan Reddy, P Sudhakar Reddy and Ramreddy Venkat Reddy said that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao failed to convene an all-party meeting on the issue. They said that the TRS Government took no initiative in making strong representations with the Centre. They alleged that the BJP-led NDA Government did injustice with the people of Telangana by passing the Polavaram Bill.
The Congress legislators warned that the Congress would stage serious protest on the issue. INN
