Hyderabad, July 13 : Irrigation Minister K Tarakarama Rao on Sunday asked the opposition parties to prove their loyalty towards Telangana State by their actions and not mere words.
Speaking to media persons at Telangana Bhavan here, KTR questioned the stand taken by different parties on the Polavaram issue. He alleged that the BJP’s stand on the issue has been exposed. He ridiculed the BJP’s contention that the Polavaram Ordinance was prepared by the previous UPA Regime. He said that the new government should have implemented new policies and it was not necessary for the BJP to implement a wrong stand taken by the previous regime.
KTR said that Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu has been working hard for the cause of Andhra Pradesh while the Telangana BJP leaders have remained silent for their state. He said that the T-BJP leaders need to prove their stand on the issue
Similarly, the Telangana Congress leaders – Ponnala Lakshmaiah, D Srinivas and K Jana Reddy should pressurise AICC President Sonia Gandhi to defeat the Polavaram Bill in the Rajya Sabha. He said despite being the lone representative of TRS in Rajya Sabha, K Keshava Rao would raise the issue in the Upper House. INN
