Gaza, June 13: As many as 22 Palestinians were killed in the Tuffah neighborhood in Gaza City, in an Israeli airstrike on a mosque in the eastern part of the city during prayers. Local sources report more than 35 have been injured and that the authorities are still looking for more bodies.
Another Palestinian was killed in Rafah in another Israeli attack, and five others were injured.
The airstrikes come in response of the Palestinian rockets launched against Tel Aviv this evening at 9pm. No injuries have been reported.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that eight other Palestinians were killed this evening in Bureij refugee camp, Gaza City and Jabaliya. In this last city, in the north of Gaza, an Israeli airstrike killed Muhammad al-Sharatha, 23.
In Gaza Citi, Israeli attacks killed Ahmad Youssef Dalloul, in the Zeytoun neighborhood, and Ghazi Arif, 62, was killed in eastern area. Earlier, an airstrike killed Khawla al-Hawajri, 24, in Nuseirat refugee camp.
There have been now more than 160 people killed in Gaza since Tuesday in Israeli airstrikes, and more than 1,000 have been injured, many of them are in serious condition. Moreover, the Israeli army has warned the citizens of the north of Gaza to evacuate their homes.
