Hyderabad, July 13 : AP State Haj Committee Special Officer Prof S A Shukoor advised the pilgrims to take along with them sufficient stock of medicines being used by them for various ailments. He said that the prescription letters of the physicians should also be carried along.
He was addressing the fourth Orientation Training Camp for the Haj Pilgrims at Jama Masjid Bi Sahaba in Punjagutta here on Sunday. A large number of selected Haj Pilgrims including lady pilgrims attended the camp.
Prof Shukoor said that in the emergency situations, pilgrims can approach the dispensaries set up and run by the Indian Mission. He introduced the Khadim-ul-Hujjaj present on this occasion and requested the pilgrims to contact them in case of emergencies and added that their contact numbers would be provided to the pilgrims at the time of their departure on the sacred journey.
He further said that the last date for remittance of second installment of Haj amount is 19th July those pilgrims who have not deposited the Haj Amount may remit the amount in the Current Account of Haj Committee of India in SBI.
Eminent scholar Moulana Shah Mohammed Jamal-ur-Rehaman described the Haj and Umra rituals in detail and Moulana Mufti Mohammed Amjad highlighted the significance in visiting the tomb of the holy Prophet. INN
