Hyderabad, July 13 : Nalgonda MP Gutha Sukhender Reddy on Sunday demanded that the Centre convene a meeting of all concerned States to resolve the Polavaram issue.
Speaking to media persons here, Gutha said that the Centre should act like the head of the family to resolve contentious issues among different States. Accusing BJP-led NDA Government of showing favouritism towards Andhra Pradesh on Polavaram Project issue, he said that the Centre should convene a meeting between Telangana, AP, Odisha and Chattisgarh to find an amicable solution.
Gutha said that the Congress party was not against the Polavaram Project. However, he said that the Congress had no role in the controversial Bill which facilitated merger of seven mandals of Khammam into Seemandhra. INN
