Hyderabad, July 12 : Leader of the Opposition K Jana Reddy on Friday demanded that the Telangana Government convene an all party meeting to discuss the fee reimbursement issue.
Speaking to media persons at the Congress Legislature Party office here, Jana Reddy said that there was no clarity on the Mulki laws for nativity. He said that the Mulki laws were framed during 1956 and during Nizam Government anyone who stayed in the kingdom for 15 year was considered a local. He reminded that people hailing from Seemandhra region and living in Telangana were given repeated assurance that they would not be discriminated. However, now the TRS Government was trying to differentiate between students by stating that it would extend the fee reimbursement scheme only to local candidates.
Jana Reddy also condemned the passing of amendments in the Lok Sabha related to Polavaram project. He said that the change in the design of Polavaram Project was a must and injustice to Telangana State would not be tolerated at any cost. INN
