Hyderabad, June 4 : Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali said that the TDS Government was committed to take all positive steps for helping the employees of GHMC through Housing, regularization of outsourcing employees and other major problems of the employees. He gave these assurances while participating in the Telangana Sambaralu at GHMC Head Office on Wednesday.
Mahmood Ali, who is also holding the portfolio of Revenue Department, said that a detailed survey would be taken up very shortly for the benefit of the GHMC employees. He said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was very keen on the development of Hyderabad and fund would not be a problem. He said that GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar has briefed the Chief Minister about the vacancies of the JNNURM houses which are ready for occupation. In response, KCR has directed the Commissioner to demolish the wall in between two houses so that unit would have two bed rooms, one kitchen and toilets for the convenience of the beneficiaries.
The Deputy CM requested all the GHMC employees to work one hour extra for the development of the city and every employee must feel a responsibility while performing his/her duties to get good results and to make the Hyderabad clean and green and World Class City as promised by the Chief Minister. He said that the Government was keen to make Hyderabad a slum free city.
GHMC Mayor Mohammed Majid Hussain thanked the Deputy CM for his active participation in Telangana Sambaralu organized in the GHMC Head Office. He said that the GHMC would definitely seek more funds from the Government to develop the city. He further said that the GHMC has got the opportunity to organize an International Conference for the first time in Telangana State and now it is the top priority of the GHMC.
