Hyderabad, May 31 : As many as 48,083 candidates have abstained from the Intermediate Public Advanced Supplementary Examinations held in two sessions across Andhra Pradesh on Saturday.
While 35,922 or 7.28% of 493,504 registered candidates abstained from the Chemistry I, Commerce I and Socio I exams held in the morning session, a total of 12,161 or 10.6% of 113,736 registered candidates did not appear for the Chemistry II, Commerce II and Socio II exams. As many as 30 candidates have been booked for malpractice in both the exams.
The Board of Intermediate Education has sent Observers to Ranga Reddy, Medak and Nalgonda districts. The examinations were conducted peacefully without any untoward incident, the Board said. INN
