Hyderabad, May 30 : The Secretary General of Lok Sabha on Friday accepted the resignation submitted by TRS President K Chandrasekhar Rao from the membership of Medak Lok Sabha constituency.
It may be mentioned that KCR had contested and won from Medak Lok Sabha and Gajwel Assembly constituencies in the recently held elections. However, in view of his election as the Leader of TRS Legislature Party to enable him to become the Chief Minister of Telangana, he resigned from the Medak Lok Sabha seat.
KCR’s resignation has now necessitated the by-elections for Medak LS seat in the next six months. According to sources, former minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy and former IAS KV Ramanachary are among the main aspirants for TRS ticket from Medak seat. Ramanchary is a close associate of KCR and hails from Medak district. INN
