Hyderabad, May 29 : MIM President Asaduddin Owaisi on Thursday condemned the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre for issuing an ordinance related to Polavaram Project.
Speaking to media persons after meeting Governor ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan here, Asaduddin Owaisi said that it was unethical on the part of the Centre to issue ordinance to merge seven mandals of Khammam districts in Seemandhra region for Polavaram project. He said that issuing an ordinance a week before the commencement of Parliament session was wrong and indicates that the NDA was suffering from some kind of inferiority complex.
The MIM chief described the move as a unilateral decision by the Centre wherein the views and sentiments of people of Khammam were completely ignored. He also condemned the statement of TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu on the issue and asked him to explain as to when the issue was discussed. He alleged that the Congress, TDP and BJP were equally responsible for the ongoing row over Polavaram Project. INN
