Over 24,000 abstain from inter supplementary exam

Hyderabad, May 27 : More than 24,000 candidates abstained from the English Paper-I and Paper-II of Intermediate Public Advanced Supplementary Examinations held across Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday.

Of 432072 candidates, as many as 23,766 or 5.5 per cent abstained from English Paper-I. Similarly, of 55573 candidates, 4945 or 8.9 per cent abstained from English Paper-II exams. Four cases of malpractices were booked during the English Paper-I exams held in the morning session.

The Board of Intermediate Education has sent Observers to Nalgonda, Warangal, Khammam, Ranga Reddy and Nizamabad Districts. The examinations were conducted peacefully without any untoward incident, the Board of Intermediate Education said.  INN
