Hyderabad, May 19 : Wakf Board Special Officer Shaik Mohammad Iqbal on Monday claimed that the strong evidences of irregularities have been found against the suspended Mutawallis Faisal Ali Shah and Akbar Nizamuddin.
Speaking to media persons at his office in Haj House here, Iqbal said that the investigations against Faisal Ali Shah, the suspended Mutawalli of Dargah Hazrat Yousufain at Nampally, has been completed. He said strong evidences were found against Faisal Ali Shah in the charges of misappropriation of funds and other irregularities. Therefore, the Wakf Board has issued him a show cause notice for his permanent removal as the Mutawalli.
Similarly, proofs of sale of Wakf land were found against Akbar Nizamuddin, the suspended Mutawalli of Dargah Shah Khamosh. He said as many 14 transactions show the direct involvement of Akbar Nizamuddin in sale of Wakf properties in Dargah’s land located in Kannojiguda. The investigation agency has found that Akbar Nizamuddin himself has withdrawn the sales’ proceeds from one of the branches of Andhra Bank.
In Survey No 373 and 376, Akbar Nizamuddin gave GPA to NR Pandu and Rajkumar while authorising them to sell the Wakf lands. One person P Nagesh had filed a writ petition 457/87 against Akbar Nizamuddin and NR Pandu stating that they were not registering the land. In response, Akbar Nizamuddin filed a counter affidavit in the court admitting that he gave GPA to Pandu to sell the land and therefore, he could do the registration.
Similarly, Akbar Nizamuddin gave GPA to Shiva Prasad Shukla on March 3, 1989, to sell 95,000 sq yds of land pertaining to S.No.378, 379, 381 and 386 in Kannojiguda.
Iqbal strongly defended his action against the erring Mutawallis and said the court too had rejected the petitions filed against the Wakf Board by the Mutawallis to stop the enquiry. He denied allegations of targeting a specific group of people. He said he was doing his job of protection and restoration of Wakf properties in the State. INN
