JD (U) seeks repolling in Jubilee Hills

Hyderabad, May 14 : The Janata Dal (United) on Wednesday requested the Election Commission of India to order repolling in Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency due to wrong party symbol on notice board of all polling stations in the constituency.

In a representation given to Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwarlal, JD (U) National Executive member and Jubilee Hills candidate Abdul Waheed said that voters were confused due to wrong symbol given on the notice board of all polling station of the constituency although correct symbol was printed on the ballot paper. He said that the error had a wrong impact on the voters. He complained that a complaint was immediately lodged with the Returning Officer on April 30 itself. However, no action was taken in this regard.

Abdul Waheed said that the JD (U) would approach the court if the ECI fails to order re-polling in Jubilee Hills constituency.  INN
