Hyderabad, May 12 : The Bharatiya Janata Party has expressed satisfaction over its performance in the municipal elections.
In a media statements, Telangana BJP spokesperson Prakash Reddy said that his party bagged two municipalities and poised to bag chairman’s posts in nine other municipalities in alliance with the TDP. He said that the BJP won a total of 129 municipal wards and 10 divisions in three municipal corporations. This is the first time that the BJP has performed so well in the municipal elections, he said.
Prakash Reddy expressed confidence that the BJP would win sizeable number of seats in Assembly and Lok Sabha whose results will be declared on May 16. INN
