Fortress Check at Kacheguda Rly Stn against Ticketless / Irregular Travel

Hyderabad, May 11 : Hyderabad Division of South Central Railway conducted a fortress check against ticketless and irregular travel at Kacheguda Railway station on 9th May. The Check was carried out under the direct supervision of G. Lakshmi Narayan, Chief Commercial Manager, South Central Railway, Addl. Divisional Railway Manager, Sr. DCM and other Officers of Hyderabad Division, South Central Railway.

As many as 44 Ticket checking staff along with Railway Protection Force Personnel carried out the drive and checked the tickets of passenger in the trains and on platforms. During the fortress check, all the exit points at Kacheguda Railway station were plugged to prevent ticketless travellers escaping from the fortress check. A total of 10 express trains, 19 passenger trains and 62 MMTS trains were checked.

During the check, 613 persons were apprehended, which include 365 persons travelling without ticket, 79 persons travelling irregularly and 169 cases of passengers carrying un-booked luggage. A total of Rs. 1, 95, 390 was realised towards penalty from these persons.  INN
