Hyderabad, May 6 : Senior Officials of GHMC C Ramakrishna Rao, Additional Commissioner, (Admn.), S Hari Krishna, Additional Commissioner (Revenue) and N Ravi Kiran, Additional Commissioner (Health &Sanitation) held meetings with U Gopal, President, GHMEU, the recognized union and Mallikarjun, representative of BMS union at different intervals here on Tuesday.
The officials have informed the representatives that the file pertaining to applicability of enhanced salaries to all categories of outsourcing employees is under process and expressed their confidence that a positive result will come out of that.
The GHMEU President has requested for conduct of CBCID enquiry on VSPN agency which is looking after ESI and PF of GHMC outsourcing employees by duly cancelling their agreement and allot the ESI and EPF responsibility to a new agency. He further requested to open ESI dispensaries in each Zone, exclusively for GHMC employees and also to set up a cabin in Head Office for ESI & PF and to set up a separate ESI establishment in Head Office to deal with the emergency cases of ESI.
BMEU chief Mallikarjun requested for enhancement of salaries to other categories of outsource employees, cancel the agreement between Ramky and GHMC and requested for purchase of new vehicles as the existing vehicles are in a pathetic condition. He further requested Additional Commissioner (Health & Sanitation) to set right the transportation wing of GHMC by conducting surprise inspections.
The Unions representatives said if Ramky group take up the works the unions will go for strike without giving any notice and also requested to order for an enquiry with regard to payment of Rs. 5 crores to Ramky group of Companies by GHMC. Their other demands include cancellation of agreement done between the Ramky and GHMC, to purchase new vehicles, to stop the tainted contractors Mallikarjun Reddy, Gopal Reddy and Srikanth Reddy from taking up GHMC works.
