CAG submits reports on Functioning of Directorate of Mines & Geology

Hyderabad, May 2 : The Reports (both English and Telugu version) of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India on ‘Revenue Sector’ (Report No.2 of 2014) on Functioning of Directorate of Mines and Geology – Government of Andhra Pradesh have been forwarded to the State Government on Friday for laying in the State Legislatures of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, according to a press note issued by Lata Mallikarjuna, Accountant General (E&RSA), Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad.

In accordance with Article 151 of the Constitution of India, the Comptroller and Auditor General of India is required to forward his ‘Audit Reports’ of the State Government to the Governor who causes them to be laid on the Table of the State Legislature.  INN
