Hyderabad, April 15 : Union Minister Vayalar Ravi on Tuesday appealed to the Congress workers to fight the ensuing elections united.
Speaking to media persons after distributing the B-forms to Congress candidates of Seemandhra at Indira Bhavan here, Vayalar Ravi dismissed the reports of large scale revolt in the Congress party over the allocation of tickets. He claimed that a majority of rebel candidates have been persuaded to support the official candidates to fight the elections unitedly. He said that the final list of candidates of would be released latest by Wednesday. He said the aspirants who were denied tickets would be accommodated in nominated posts if the party comes to power in residuary State of Andhra Pradesh.
Meanwhile, Ravi condemned the BJP for linking the Congress party with the Coalgate scam. He alleged that it was the BJP which was responsible for every scam in the country. He also defended Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and said that the latter was not involved in the scam as alleged by former bureaucrat KC Parakh in his book.
Later, APCC president N Raghuveera Reddy administered oath to the party candidates. INN
