Qurrah for selection of Haj pilgrims from the State on April 17

Hyderabad, April 15 : State Haj Committee Special Officer Prof S A Shukoor informed that the computerised district wise Qurrah (Draw of Lots) for selection of Haj pilgrims for Haj 2014 from the State will be held at 11:00 AM on 17th April (Thursday) at the Haj House, Nampally, Hyderabad.

He said that the Haj Committee of India will hold the Qurrah district wise. The Quota for the State has not been declared so far. He further said that the State Haj committee is making elaborate arrangements for the Qurrah function.

Out of 18080 Haj Applications, the Qurrah will be held for 16,608 fresh Haj Applicants, as 1472 applicants under the Reserved Categories of 70 + years and fourth timers were already declared selected without the Qurrah.

Executive Officer Haj Commmittee Abdul Hameed said that the highest number of applicants belong to Hyderabad with 8839 applicatiions. Only five Haj Applications from the Srikakulam district and 12 applications were submitted in the Prakasam district.  INN
