Hyderabad, April 14 : Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen president Asaduddin Owaisi on Monday claimed that his party has proved its secular credentials by nominating many non-Muslim candidates in the ensuing elections.
Addressing the party workers after inaugurating MIM’s election office at Ishrat Mahal near Moghalpura, Asaduddin Owaisi said that the claims of all political parties of being secular look hollow as they displayed their communal approach in allocation of tickets. However, the MIM has proved its secularism by giving party tickets to candidates belonging to all sections of the society.
The MIM chief asked the party cadre to be vigilant and active throughout the campaign and do not take the elections lightly due to absence of any strong opponent. He said an awareness should be created among people to increase the polling percentage. He also advised the MIM legislators to stay in touch with the local leaders and cadre to ensure victory in the ensuing elections.
Asaduddin Owaisi said that the MIM has always believed in performance and not promises. Therefore, through hard work and service to the people, the MIM hopes to win the elections, he said.
MIM MLAs Akbaruddin Owaisi, Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri, Mohammad Maozam Khan, Mumtaz Ahmed Khan and other senior leaders were also present. INN
