Women succumbs to burn injuries

Hyderabad, March 8 : A 24 year old House wife died of burn injuries which she suffered on Feb 19 at her residence in Kumarwadi of Tappachabutra.

According to Tappachabutra police, the deceased P Latha (24) W/o P Siddulu, a laborer, R/o Kumarwadi of Tappachabutra while cooking on stove accidentally flames caught her on Feb 19. Immediately her husband rescued and shifted to Osmania General Hospital for treatment where she died on Friday late night hours.

Tappachabutra police registered a case after autopsy deceased body handed over to her relatives.

Women killed in road accident

Hyderabad, March 8 : A 50 year old House wife killed in road accident when the bike she was going hit by a Lorry on Saturday morning hours.

According to Chandanagar police, the accident occurred on Saturday morning hours when the deceased B Amaravathi (50) a House wife W/o Ramesh R/o Tarnaka going on motor cycle with her husband when she was reached near Chanda Nagar cross road suddenly one speeding Lorry hit due to which she received multiple injuries and died on the spot. Deceased husband also injured in these accident.

Chandanagar police registered a case under section 304 A and dead body shifted to Gandhi Hospital Mortuary for postmortem and began investigation.

Plumber electrocuted to death

Hyderabad, March 8 : A 20 year old Plumber died of Electrocution at Viveknagar of Jeedimetla on Saturday morning hours.

According to Jeedimetla Police, Deceased Mohammed Sajid S/o Mohammed Abdul Rasheed, a Plumber R/o Prakasam Pantulu Nagar of Jeedimetla. Saturday morning hours deceased while shifted a Iron rods at first floor of a building at Viveknagar of Jeedimetla, suddenly iron rod touched to Hi tension wire he got electrocuted and falling from height due to which he received multiple injuries and died on the spot.

Jeedimetla police registered a case and dead body shifted to Gandhi Hospital Mortuary for postmortem after autopsy deceased body handed over to his relatives and began investigation.

One held with two swords and air gun

Hyderabad, March 8 : On March 8 West Zone Task Force Team apprehended one accused person Mahender Singh (49) S/o Maghan Singh, Occupation Yeast Business, R/o Seetharampet of Aghapura, Hyderabad, and found in possession of two swords and one Air gun at his residence.

During interrogation it is learnt that that the accused Mahender Singh is native of Utter Pradesh but born and brought up in Hyderabad and residing in the above said address along with family members. He is doing yeast business in Hyderabad for past four years. About six months back he came in contact with one unknown person at Mangalhat area. The accused Mahender Singh purchased two swords and one air gun with him with an intention to sell the same for higher rates and earn easy money. The accused Mahender Singh was present in his residence possessing with two swords and one air gun he was apprehended on suspicion.

The accused person along with seized property handed over to S.H.O., Mangalhat P.S., Hyderabad, for taking further action.

The arrest was made under the supervision of K.Ramchandran, Addl. Dy. Commissioner of Police, Commissioner’s Task Force, Y.Prakash Reddy, Inspector of Police with the assistance of SIs Sri D.Jalandhar Reddy, Sri M.Venkateshwar Goud, K.Srinivas and the Staff of West Zone Team, Commissioner’s Task Force, Hyderabad.

Nursery student kidnapped in Amberpet

Hyderabad, March 8 : A four-year-old girl has been kidnapped by a woman at Quadri Bagh in Amberpet police limits.

According to Police, a nursery student, Hannan Quadri, daughter of a local businessman Mohsin Quadri, was kidnapped allegedly by a woman who was clad in a burkha while she was playing near her residence at Quadri Bagh in Amberpet on Friday evening.

The family members searched in vain for the girl in the entire locality and enquiries revealed that she was taken away by a burkha-clad woman. They immediately lodged a complaint with the Amberpet Police who registered a case and launched a manhunt to trace the girl. The family did not receive any ransom calls, according to Amberpet Sub-Inspector Shankaraiah.

Suspended finance officer held for misappropriating Govt funds

Hyderabad, March 8 : The Central Crime Station (Detective Department) of City Police on Saturday arrested an official on the charges of misappropriating government funds.

According to police, on a complaint received from Rajiv Vidya Mission’s State Project Director-1 (FAC) S Rajasekhar, a case under sections 406,408,420 r/w 34 IPC was registered against Dr P Brahmananda Rao, the suspended Finance Officer of NTR Health University. He was formerly the Finance controller of Sarva Shiksha Abhinayan (SSA) Rajiv Vidya Mission. It was alleged that during his tenure from Sept 11, 2006 to August 8, 2012, he misappropriated and diverted the Government funds of about Rs 33,78,883 from the Accounts of Vidhyanidhi, SSA and APUSP to his office attender and other persons on their accounts, through net banking without prior approval of the State Project Director and higher officers. He allegedly misused the Government Funds and diverted the amount to unauthorised persons without following any guidelines and approvals from the Government.

On Saturday, the accused Dr Brahmananda, a resident of Vijayawada, was arrested and remanded to judicial custody. Efforts are on to unearth the embezzled amounts.

The case is being investigated under the supervision of Additional Commissioner Sandeep Shandilia and DCP (DD) Pal Raj by WCO-Team I Inspector T Madhu Mohan.
