KCR calls on Prez, Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi, Feb 24 : Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao called on AICC Vice-President Rahul Gandhi here on Monday.

Besides thanking Rahul Gandhi for his support in ensuring passing of Telagnana Bill in the Parliament, KCR also discussed the latest political situation in the Telangana region. However, the duo reportedly avoided talks on a possible merger of TRS in the Congress party or alliance between the two parties. Sources say that the talks were quite informal and were confined to exchange of views on post-bifurcation scenario.

Later, KCR also called on President Pranab Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhavan for his support for Telangana Bill.

It may be mentioned that KCR, along with his family members, also met AICC President Sonia Gandhi on Sunday. The meeting raised speculations about his party’s merger with the Congress.  INN
