Hyderabad, Feb 24 : Former PCC President D Srinivas on Sunday accused TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu of trying to take false credit for the formation of Telangana State.
Speaking to media persons at his residence, Srinivas alleged that Naidu created several obstacles in the formation of Telangana although he gave letters supporting the statehood demand. However, he said that now after the completion of bifurcation process, Naidu was trying to take credit for Telangana. He said people were fully aware how Naidu tried to deceive the Telangana cause.
Srinivas also accused caretaker Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy of trying to suppress the Telangana formation process using government and money. However, Kiran’s efforts failed due to Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s firm resolve to form Telangana State. He said Kiran Kumar Reddy even tried to incite Seemandhra youth to attempt suicide. Since Seemandhra people too were not against bifurcation, all anti-Telangana moves proved futile. INN
