AAP activists stage dharna against police high-handedness

Hyderabad, Feb 23 : The Aam Aadmi Party workers on Sunday staged a dharna in front of the Chandrayangutta police station demanding action against guilty officials who allegedly detained a victim of eve teasing and her father the previous day.

AAP convener Muhammed Veqar Hussain alleged that Chandrayangutta Inspector A Srinivas Rao on Saturday detained a girl, who was being stalked by two persons for the last three weeks after her cousin caught them and beat them up. He alleged that the police were hand in glove with the accused and were trying to strike a compromise. They demanded that higher police officials intervene immediately in the case.  INN
