Hyderabad, Feb 20 : GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar has directed the Engineer-in-Chief to reexamine the proposed RUB from the main road from Chandrayangutta to Kandikal gate as it is affecting the numerous properties and also instructed to examine the feasibility of extending the existing Chandrayangutta flyover on either side of the properties and landing at near Bangaru Maisamma Temple.
The Commissioner issued these directions while inspecting various road widening works at Chandrayangutta on Thursday.
Somesh Kumar directed the Urban Biodiversity Director to take up painting to the compound wall in order to prevent up seen posters and priority in the areas and also to take up the development of foot paths and central median which is causing number of accidents.
The Commissioner has observed at Sunny garden the culvert widening is being hampered due to air valve shifting by the HMWS&SB is pending since last few years for which he has directed the Director, Technical, HMWS&SB to expedite the same and to shift the air valve from the existing drainage channel upstream beyond the drainage as such that contamination of drinking water could be controlled. He further directed the Engineer-in-Chief to take up designs and take necessary sanction of the estimates on priority as such the road can be extended for the convenience of the citizens.
The Commissioner also visited Owaisi Hospital junction and observed that the Apollo DRDO Hospital widening is pending for which he has directed the Chief City Planner, GHMC to take up the road widening works on priority.
Later, the Commissioner also inspected number of huts at opposite Falaknuma Railway Station who were in pathetic condition he had a patient hearing with the hut dwellers and directed the Urban Community Development Wing to coordinate with Hyderabad District Collectorate to take up Socio Economic Survey immediately of the 35 to 40 huts in that area for necessary recommendations for housing to rehabilitate them.
