GHMC chief inspects works in Qutubullapur area

Hyderabad, Feb 17 : GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar directed the Engineer-in-Chief and the Chief Engineer to take up the chemical nala works at Ganesh Nagar in Qutbullapur area immediately. As per the request of MLA Kuna Srisailam Goud and area Corporator Boddu Venkateshwar Rao, the Commissioner has inspected the chemical nala and other areas of Qutbullapur today and interacted with the MLA and area Corporator and directed the officials to expedite the works on priority.

Srisailam Goud and Venkateshwar Rao have represented the Commissioner stating that the works are going in a very slow phase and lot of inconvenience is being faced nearby colonies. They have also informed the Commissioner that the existing transfer station which is in a shabby status to be modernized keeping in view of the health conditions of the citizens of that area.

The Commissioner directed the Zonal Commissioner to put up the proposals for modernizing the existing transfer station duly coordinating with the HMT Officials and also to identify the land for constructing modernized transfer station at Qutbullapur.

The MLA said that though the then Commissioners have visited several times to the area but nothing has been done so far for which he has requested the Commissioner to take up the various civic related issues on priority. Responding to the MLAs plea the Commissioner assured that the works will be taken up and will be completed at the earliest.

K Jagan, Corporator, Jagadgirigutta, R Dhan Singh, Engineer-in-Chief, T Anjaneyulu, Chief Engineer, S Hari Krishna, Zonal Commissioner (North) and senior officials from Town Planning, Engineering and Health Wings have participated in the visit.  INN
