Hyderabad, Feb 17 : A delegation comprising heads of three major political parties in the State is likely to meet Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh over the issue of Telangana Bill.
Speaking to media persons after holding meeting with the Seemandhra legislators at Gandhi Bhavan here on Monday, PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana informed that there was a proposal to meet the Prime Minister along with Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu, YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy and CPI (M) leaders to request him to keep the State united. However, he did not specify when the meeting would take place and whether Naidu, Jagan and other leaders would join the delegation.
Botsa admitted that the Centre has expedited the process of Telangana formation. He said that he, along with other leaders, would leave for Delhi on Tuesday and meet AICC President Sonia Gandhi, the Prime Minister and other leaders over the bifurcation issue. He expressed confidence that the Telangana issue would be settled amicably. He said that this week would be highly crucial in the history of Andhra Pradesh. INN
