Danam calls Lagadapati a terrorist

Hyderabad, Feb 14 : Labour Minister Danam Nagender on Friday said that there was no difference between Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal and terrorists.

Addressing a press conference at the Congress Legislature Party Office here, Danam said that while terrorists attacked the Parliament from outside, Lagadapati carried out the attack within the Lok Sabha. Describing the pepper spraying incident as an act which put the entire country into shame, he demanded that Rajagopal and other MPs from Seemandhra region should be suspended from the Lok Sabha permanently.

Danam alleged the Seemandhra MPs behaved unruly in the House only to prepare ground to launch a new party. However, he said that their action would not be viewed seriously by the people of Seemandhra region, who consider, Lagadapati as a “joker”. He said all those MPs got elected on Congress ticket and were now trying to humiliate Congress president Sonia Gandhi. He also accused the MPs of trying to insult a Dalit Speaker.

The minister said that lot of action was expected in the State Legislative Assembly during the debate on Telangana Bill. However, the shameful act occurred in the Parliament which brought disrepute for the nation.  INN
