GHMC chief orders removal of encroachment at Laxmi Nagar X-Rd

Hyderabad, Feb 8 : GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar has directed the Zonal Commissioner to take steps to remove the huts which are encroached Laxmi Nagar X roads near Pillar No. 68 and instructed to identify the place for rehabilitating them as it is causing lot of inconvenience to the public as more accidents are taking place at the said location and instructed to put up the proposals for road widening from Laxmi Nagar to Gudimalkapur at the earliest.

The Commissioner, along with BJP floor leader Bangari Prakash and senior officials of the Central Zone, have visited some of the areas of Mehdipatnam division on Saturday. The Corporator has informed the Commissioner that lot of accidents are being happening almost every day posing danger to the public and requested the Commissioner to take positive steps and also requested to direct to officials to put up the proposals at the earliest to take up the road widening programme for the convenience of the general public.

Somesh Kumar along with the team has visited Jam singh Venteshwara Temple near Laxminagar where he has identified one of the oldest building and directed the City Planner, Central Zone to identify whether this structure is in the list of heritage buildings and directed to put up the proposals for maintenance of the building on priority, if it is heritage list.

The Commissioner also visited Bojagutta area and inspected the grave yard and directed the Executive Engineer and the Zonal Commissioner to coordinate with the MRO (Mandal Revenue Officer) for marking the boundaries and to take up the construction work of the compound wall. The Corporator has shown one of the Government land for setting up night shelter for which the Commissioner instructed the Zonal Commissioner to put up the proposals and the estimates for the construction of night shelter at the earliest.

Chief Engineer T Anjaneyulu, Central Zone Commissioner K Siva Parvathi, Superintending Engineer Srimannarayana, Deputy Commissioner (Circle-7) AV Ramani, City Planner Khaled Sarwar and senior officials from Engineer, Town Planning, Health and UCD wing have participated in the visit.
