Hyderabad, Feb 7 : TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday alleged that the Congress party was having a secret tie-up with the Telangana Rashtra Samithi.
Speaking to media persons at the Telugu Desam Legislature Party office here, Naidu said that the elections to six Rajya Sabha seats have exposed the Congress-TRS nexus in the State. While TDP had the strength to win two seats, the Congress could have won four seats in the Rajya Sabha polls. However, by fielding only three candidates, the Congress party has left one seat for the TRS candidate. This unofficial seat-sharing arrangement clearly shows that both the parties are into a secret understanding with each other.
Naidu alleged that Congress MLA Adala Prabhakar Reddy entered the fray as a rebel as the instance of Congress High Command. It was done to mislead the people and later, Adala withdrew from the contest. He alleged that both the TRS and YSR Congress Party were acting as per the script dictated by 10th Janpath.
Speaking about State’s proposed bifurcation, the TDP chief said that the Congress Government could have settled the issue in an amicable manner by speaking to all the stakeholders. However, the Centre has created enmity and hatred among the people of both the regions on Telangana issue. He said that the Congress was habitual of doing politics of hatred. He said that the Congress party made no efforts to heal the wounds of Operation Blue Star.
Naidu sought the help of all political parties at the national level to settle the Telangana issue in an amicable manner. He said that the TDP was for equal justice for all regions in the State.
Addressing the TDLP meeting earlier, Naidu asked the party legislators to gear up for the elections. He expressed confidence that the TDP would return to power in the State in next elections and would also play an important role at the national level. INN
