Hyderabad, Feb 6: Former MP and TRS senior leader B Vinod on Thursday claimed that the Telangana Bill would be passed with a huge majority in both the House of Parliament.
Speaking to media persons here, Vinod dismissed the reports that the Bill would be defeated in the Parliament. He advised the people of Telangana not to get misled with such reports and said that all efforts to stall the Bill would prove futile. Referring to the uproar in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha over the Bill, he said that all important Bills that were passed by the Parliament faced similar circumstances and they were passed in the end. Similarly, the Telangana Bill would be passed with a huge majority in the Parliament.
Vinod also expressed confidence that the BJP would keep its promise of supporting the Telangana Bill. He condemned Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for carrying out a campaign against the Telangana Bill. He appealed to Seemandhra leaders to extend support for the smooth bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. He said that the people of Telangana would stand for the rights of Seemandhra people after the bifurcation.
