Hyderabad, Feb 5 : Hyma Praveen of the Lok Satta Party has been invited to take part in the Harvard India conference on ‘Prospects of India and paradox in 2014’ to be held at Boston on February 15.
Hyma, whom the Lok Satta Party has named as its candidate to contest the 2014 election to the Assembly from Sanathnagar, is the only politician from India to be invited to the conference.
“Highly educated Hyma had given up her lucrative career in the US and returned to India to join the Lok Satta Party and become a partner in its mission to bring about transformation in the nature of politics. For the last two years, she has been fighting to address problems of people in Sanathnagar constituency,” the Lok Satta said in a press release.
The Mahila Satta and the Yuva Satta felicitated Hyma Praveen at a function held at the Lok Satta Party headquarters here today. Addressing the gathering, Mahila Satta President N Saroja Devi said that the Lok Satta is the only party that gives importance to youth and women. It is prepared to allocate more tickets to women than stipulated in the Women’s Reservation Bill.
