Hyderabad, Feb 4 : GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar, along with Malakpet MLA Ahmed Bin Abdullah Balala, inspected the Chanchalguda women jail and directed the officials to take up the junction improvement at women jail compound wall, road repairing and widening works.
Later, the team visited the new Malakpet Basket Ball site wherein the proposed work an indoor stadium amount to Rs. 6 crores at Saleem Nagar due to Court orders the work cannot be executed in Saleem Nagar Colony. The MLA has requested to shift the basket ball ground to New Malakpet colony instead of Saleem Nagar Colony. The Commissioner responding to the plea of the MLA has instructed the concerned officials to put up the proposals to take up an innovative scheme for the construction of an underground indoor stadium with park and walking track at New Malakpet.
The Commissioner along with MLA and the team of the officials visited Mahabub Gunj inspected the heritage building which is in dilapidated condition and opined that every need is there to protect the heritage building and directed the engineering wing to prepare estimates for fencing the total area with chain link mesh barbed wire mesh at the earliest for its protection and also to depute one night watchman on 24×7 basis to safeguard the heritage property. He further directed the officials to put up the proposals and the estimates within 15 days for renovation of the existing heritage building at Mahabub Gunj.
Ahmed Balala has thanked the Commissioner for immediate action as per his request for the proposals and further requested the Commissioner to direct the concerned officials to take up the project work to be taken up at the earliest.
