Hyderabad, Jan 30 : Deputy Speaker Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Thursday made it clear that the resolution passed by the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly against the State Reorganisation Bill 2013 would not be sent to the President of India Pranab Mukherjee.
Speaking to media persons in the Assembly premises, the Deputy Speaker said that the resolution moved by Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy under Rule 77 seeking rejection of Telangana Bill and passed by the Assembly through voice vote would not be sent to the President. The resolution will be sent to the State Government and will be part of the Assembly’s record.
The Deputy Speaker said that only the records pertaining to debate in the Assembly on the Bill held under Article 3 would be sent to the President. He said as many as 86 members spoke on the Bill for 53 hours and 5 minutes. Further, 9072 amendments proposed by the members would also be sent to the President. INN
