Hyderabad, Jan 29 : After two adjournments of over an hour, the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council was adjourned for the day following continuation of deadlock over the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill.
The Council could not take up any transaction with the MLCs from both Telangana and Seemandhra region stalling the House. The Telangana MLCs demanded withdrawal of notice served by Leader of the House and Endowments Minister C Ramchandraiah under Rule 77 seeking a resolution in the House to reject the Telangana Bill. The Seemandhra legislators insisted that the House take up voting on the Bill.
Council chairman Dr A Chakrapani adjourned the Council for one hour at about 10.05 AM. Similar situation prevailed when the House reassembled at about 11.45 AM and it again forced the Chairman to adjourn the House for another hour. There was no improvement in the situation when the Council met again and finally, the Chairman adjourned the House for the day. INN
