Hyderabad, Jan 29 : The Andhra Pradesh State Legislative Assembly could not transact any business for the third consecutive day on Wednesday as legislators from both Telangana and Seemandhra regions remained stubborn on their respective stands on the AP Reorganisation Bill-2013.
The Telangana and Seemandhra MLAs exchanged slogans in favour and against Telangana when the House met on Wednesday at 9 AM. The legislators of TRS, Congress (Telangana), CPI and BJP trooped into the well and demanded that the notice given by Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy under Rule 77 seeking rejection of Telangana Bill be withdrawn. On the other side, the Seemandhra MLAs insisted on voting on the Bill. Amidst the din, Speaker Nadendla Manohar adjourned the House at about 9.05 AM for one hour.
There was no change in the scene when the House re-assembled at about 11.23 AM. Deputy Speaker Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, who was in the Chair, then adjourned the House within three minutes for another hour.
The Assembly could not take up any business when it met again at about 2.32 AM. After three minutes, the Deputy Speaker then adjourned the House for the day. INN
