Hyderabad, Jan 27 : YSRCP Deputy floor leader Shobha Nagi Reddy on Monday accused the Congress and TDP of misleading the people on Telangana issue.
Speaking to media persons at Assembly’s media point, Shobha Nagi Reddy said that the YSRCP has been demanding that the State Reorganisation Bill be rejected under Rule 77 without any debate. Instead of accepting the demand, the Bill was tabled and the discussion was initiated. Now Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy was trying to act as hero by serving a notice to the Speaker seeking rejection of the Bill, she alleged.
Shobha Nagi Reddy alleged that both Congress and TDP have entered into a secret understanding to mislead the people of Andhra Pradesh and have been trying to project the YSR Congress Party in a bad light on the State’s bifurcation issue. She said despite knowing well that the party would suffer damage in the Telangana region, it opposed the State’s bifurcation. However, she said that the people of Telangana would appreciate and accept the stand taken by the YSRCP in future. INN
