Hyderabad, Jan 26 : A total of 241 travellers were apprehended for various offences, comprising of 149 cases of ticketless travel, 10 cases of irregular travel, 81 cases of un-booked luggage and 1 cases of littering on railway premises during the Fortress Check conducted at Kacheguda Railway Station.
The South Central Railway conducted the Check against ticketless and irregular travel on Friday from 05 AM to 9 PM. The check was conducted under the direct supervision of Chief Commercial Manager, Freight Services, South Central Railway.
As many 24 Travelling Ticket Examiners of Ticket Checking Squad were involved in the check. During the fortress check, all the exit and entry points at Kacheguda Railway station were plugged. 91 trains including Express Trains, Passenger Trains and MMTS Trains were checked. A total of Rs. 95,025 was realised towards penalty from these cases. INN
