Pro-Telangana activists pull Lagadapati from stage

Hyderabad, Jan 22 : Tension prevaled at the “Maha Dharna” organised by the APNGOs Association at Indira Park here on Wednesday when some pro-Telangana activists pulled Conress MP Lagadapati Rajagopal from stage.

While Lagadapati was delivering the speech, some activists walked up to the stage and pulled him. However, police personnel who were present in large numbers, swung into action and took three members of Telangana Yuva Shakti into custody. They were later taken to a nearby police station.

The incident shocked the Hyderabad City Police as pro-Telangana activists managed to reach the stage despite the presence of police personnel in large numbers. As many as 20 APSP teams, one CRPF team, one RPF team, six SWAT teams, 50 SI’s,15 CI’s,10 DSP’s and 100 women police were deployed for security. INN
