Hyderabad, Jan 21 : Coming down heavily on the vicious and malicious campaign launched against its president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy together by TDP and Congress, YSR Congress party on Tuesday warned the two parties that the gullible people cannot be taken for a ride by their joint mudslinging efforts.
Addressing reporters here, Party spokesperson Ambati Rambabu said that YSRCP is the only party which has been spearheading the Samaikyandhra agitation and Jagan Mohan Reddy is the only leader who took up the cause of the Samaikyandhra in right earnest.
“Despite the CWC’s resolution on bifurcation, Congress leaders in the state have taken a dual stance while the leaders of the TDP have also adopted contradictory stands despite its politburo resolving and submitting letter in favour of Telangana to the Centre. Yet, they are jointly throwing mud on our leader Jagan Mohan Reddy who had taken the Samaikyandhra stand,” Rambabu stated.
Rambabu observed that people would not believe the preconceived and premeditated vicious campaign launched by TDP and Congress leaders in collaboration with their captive media against Jagan Mohan Reddy.
“Our leader will lead the party to victory in the forthcoming elections. Congress and TDP leaders are under the illusion that we have lost our hold in Telangana. But we are going to prove our hold in Telangana area also apart from winning majority seats in the other two regions. Their efforts into misleading the people will fall flat,” he said.
Because of this fear only, PCC president Botcha Satyanarayana is also talking of postponing the assembly elections, Rambabu said.
Saying that TDP and Congress have been training their leaders and letting them lose into throwing mud on Jagan Mohan Reddy, he said people have realized that both the parties have stooped so low to tarnish his image.
“The two parties fear for losing their existence across the state and hence their joint campaign against our leader,” Rambabu said and added: “While CM Kiran Kumar Reddy is enacting a drama posing himself as the champion of Samaikyandhra, Chandrababu Naidu has remained a mute spectator for the contradictory stands taken by their leaders of two regions in the assembly.”
Rambabu also took objection to the wasting of assembly time in the guise of debate on T bill. “Assembly is not witnessing any useful discussion on T bill except for members making allegations against each other. What is the use of partaking in such a discussion?” INN
