Hyderabad, Jan 15 : Congress Rajya Sabha MP Palwai Govardhan Reddy on Wednesday leveled serious allegations of corruption against his own party’s Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy.
Speaking to media persons in the Assembly premises here, Palwai alleged that Kiran Kumar Reddy had collected huge kickbacks from contractors for several projects. He said that these charges would be probed by the new government after next elections. Stating that the Congress party would not tolerate corruption, he said that the party would pass a resolution to expel leaders with tainted image during the next session of AICC to be held on January 17.
Palwai also slammed TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu for his recent statements. He said that Naidu, who backstabbed his own father-in-law later NT Rama Rao for power, was not speaking about justice. He alleged that Naidu was trying to sabotage the welfare schemes started by the Congress Government.
The Congress MP further said that the BJP was dreaming to return to power under the leadership of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi. He said that the people would never accept a communal leader and AICC Vice-President Rahul Gandhi would lead the Congress to power at the Centre to form the UPA-III Government.
Palwai also informed that the Women’s Reservation Bill would be passed in the next session of the Parliament. INN
