Over one lakh people visits HMR stall at Numaish

Hyderabad, Jan 15 : The Metro Rail stall put up by Hyderabad Metro Rail at Numaish caught the imagination of Hyderabadis. Different segments of people are coming in huge numbers to the stall and there was an unprecedented rush in the last few days which were festival holidays.

More than one lakh people visited the stall on Sankranti Day (Tuesday) alone and the surging crowds had to be managed by a 9-member police team of HMR so as to avoid any stampede, stated HMR MD NVS Reddy. The people visiting the Metro stall where the model coach is kept on display are enthusiastically enquiring about the features and facilities of Metro coaches and stations, Metro routes, fares, etc. Most of the visitors are seen locating their colonies in the Metro Rail catchment area map which indicates the residential colonies served by each Metro station, he said.

In view of the increasing crowds and long queues waiting to enter the Metro stall especially during peak hours and holidays, Reddy has appealed to the visitors to plan their visit to the stall during non-peak hours as far as possible. INN
