APSACS observes National Youth Day

Hyderabad, Jan 12: The Andhra Pradesh State AIDS Control Society on Sunday observed National Youth Day to mark the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

On this occasion, APSACS Project Director Dr B Kishore, and Additonal Director Dr.Hymavathi garlanded the statue of Swami Vivekananda. A rally was also organized from Swamy Vivekananda statue to Budda Bhavan.

The APSACS proposes to involve the personnel from various youth wings in this rally. The participants with banners and placards reached the youth hostel. Dr Hymavathi advised the youth to adopt the life skills to protect themselves from HIV infection and drug abuse. She also appealed to donate blood to save persons in need of blood. The event inspired young men and women of twin cities and encouraged them to adopt the healthy life style and persuade them to voluntarily donate blood on regular intervals.
