Hyderabad, Jan 11 : Singh Sahib, Giani Jaswinder Singh Granthi, main priest of Sri Darbar Sahib, (Golden Temple), Amritsar will be in the city on Sunday to deliver religious sermons in connection with the ongoing Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Gobind Singhji, the 10th and last Sikh Guru and founder of Khalsa Panth.
In connection with the ongoing 348th birthday celebrations of Sri Guru Gobind Singhji’s birthday celebrations, a Vishaal Deewan (Mass Congregation) will be organsied under the aegis of Prabhandak Committee Gurdwara Saheb Secunderabad at Key’s High School Grounds, Secunderabad from 11 AM to 3 PM on January 12 (Sunday).
Prabhandak Committee President S Baldev Singh Bagga and General Secretary S Avatar Singh said that in the Vishaal Deewan over 25,000 Sikh devotees and other community faiths will converge at Key’s High School, Secunderabad. The event will be marked by the recitations of Gurbani Keertans (Holy Hymns) by the reputed Ragi Jathas (religious preachers) who are being specially invited from various parts of the country to render shabad keertans.
Apart from the Priest of Golden Temple, Amritsar, Singh Sahib Giani S.Jaswinder Singhji, Bhai Balwinder Singh Rangila (Chandigarh), Bibi Jaskiran kaur (Ludhiana wale) and other reputed Ragi Jathas will recite shabad keertans (holy hymens and Kathas and throw light on the teachings of Sikh Gurus.
After the culmination of the congregation Guru Ka Langar (free community kitchen) will be served to the devotees. INN
