Hyderabad, Jan 10 : Rajya Sabha MP R Anand Bhaskar on Friday appealed to Congress President Sonia Gandhi to constitute separate committees for selection of candidates in Telangana and Seemandhra regions.
“While appreciating the meticulous scientific debate arising and public involving efforts in setting the ground to prepare Manifesto for ensuing 2014 General Elections and other preparations including silent political intelligence for identifying the potentialities of the candidates to be fielded, I request your kind attention on the need of reconsideration of the announcement of the Selection Committee for the to be bifurcated state of Andhra Pradesh,” he said. This technical internal committee of our party is giving scope for creating doubts, he said.
Bhaskar said that the President of PCC (Botsa Satyanarayana) and Leader of CLP (Kiran Kumar Reddy) are both from coastal Andhra and known antagonists of the cause of separate Telangana. “In this precious mid way of constitutional process with your great efforts, the single committee for candidate selection for the two parts of the state is giving unnecessary mileage to those, who are using every opportunity to do wrong propaganda, to sling mud and cast doubts on the great efforts under your magnanimous leadership, though our party is making to ensure the separation,” he said. These two persons shall not get any slight opportunity to go into the selection process of our candidates of to be formed state of Telangana, he said.
Bhaskar requested Sonia Gandhi to think of other mechanism instead of keeping Botsa and Kiran Kumar Reddy as members of Selection Committees. INN
