Charge sheet against Rizvi soon, says CID chief

Hyderabad, Jan 8 : Additional DGP (CID) T Krishna Prasad has informed that the Prosecution Sanction orders in respect of Md Ilyas Rizvi were awaited from the government. On receipt of the same, charge sheet will be filed against all the accused in the AP State Minorities Finance Corporation case, he said.

Krishna Prasad said that Ilyas Rizvi, while working as the Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of APSMFC, committed several irregularities and caused loss to the Government exchequer for an amount of Rs. 55.47 crore. Based on a complaint of Minorities Welfare Department Secretary M Dana Kishore, a case was registered in CID PS on 09.12.2012 in Cr.No. 91/2012 U/s 409, 403, 420, 467, 472, 120 (b) IPC. Investigation has been completed in this case.

Due to efforts of the CID, four accused were arrested in this case and remanded to judicial custody.

Immovable properties worth Rs.12.9 crores were attached on government orders. INN
