CM to lay foundation stone for Rs 350-Cr GAME Tower on Jan 8

Hyderabad, Jan 6 : Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy will lay the foundation stone for construction of 8 lakh sft of signature G.A.M.E. TOWER at a cost of Rs 350 crores in 30 acres of land at Raidurg on Jan 8. This tower would provide plug and play office facility for Animation, Gaming, Multimedia and Entertainment companies.

The investor-friendly G.A.M.E. Policy 2014-2019 – unique & first of its kind in the country – providing much needed incentives and facilitations to the Animation and Gaming – a sun -raise vertical in IT sector would be released on this occasion

Hyderabad ITIR is an integrated region in an area of 202 sq kms (50000 acres) in and around Hyderabad & Ranga Reddy Districts, with IT processing area (20359acres) supported by the non processing area comprising of residential, commercial, social infrastructure and other amenities. The provision of Infrastructure in the entire ITIR is to done in two phases (Phase-I, five years + Phase-II, 20 years). In Phase- I, 20% of processing area needs to be developed. Hyderabad ITIR on fully commissioning will attract a total investment of about Rs.2,19,440 crores and is expected to generate an additional direct IT employment of 15.4 lakhs in IT,ITES and EHM Sectors and an indirect employment of 52.9 lakhs

In this connection, a follow up meeting on further action to be taken on Hyderabad ITIR after the approval by GOI and other issues was taken up by IT Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah at his chambers on Monday with the concerned. The officers present were S.K. Joshi, Prl Secy, MA&UD, Sanjay Jaju, IAS, Secretary, ITE&C, Sri Jayesh Ranjan, IAS, VC&MD APIIC, N.K. Prasad, IAS, Praveen Kumar, IAS, Jt Collector, Vizag, I.V.Reddy, VC TUDA.Tirupati, Guda Sreenivas, RVN(MMTS), Samuel Anand Kumar,IAS, PD ORR, representatives of PWC, E&Y and other officials.

During the meeting it has been decided to tae immediate action on implementation of Hyderabad ITIR, an Empowered Functional Unit/Authority under HMDA Act, with HMDA, and will be notified for undertaking planning and development of Hyderabad ITIR.

Subsequently, after studying the concept of Bombay Delhi Industrial Corridor, and Development Authorities in other countries like China, etc., the other models on constitution of the Authority, on similar lines appropriate Authority will be constituted as per the relevant Act or a separate Act will be brought into force, if required bestowing with statutory /municipal powers., for planning, executing, implementing, monitoring and reporting to Government on speedy commissioning of Hyderabad ITIR.

The APIIC will undertake the exercise of Preparation of detailed Master Plan for Hyderabad ITIR by APIIC in consultation with HMDA by engaging a reputed professional consultancy organization. It will submit proposals to Government in the next 15 days on plan of action to develop 20% of processing area i.e., about 4000 acres out of 20359 acres (namely, provision road, water, sewerage, power, STP,WTP. IT Office space, etc.,)

It has been noted with satisfaction that MMTS has already initiated action on Falaknuma- Umdanagar- Airport Doubling with Electrification:(13.50Km & 6.50 km) Single line upto Airport with Electrification at an Estimated cost: 148.33 Cr. Tenders awarded for Falaknuma-Umdanagar section for Doubling with Electrification and scheduled time of Completion is 3 years(36 Months). MMTS has been complemented for this.

The HMDA has been assigned the task to prepare Technical/Financial Feasibility Report for upgradation of RR No:8-Moosapet to BHEL = at an approved cost Rs.80 cr, for submission to GoI. HMDA shall submit its Report in the next 15 days. The APIIC will make earmark and make available an extent of 4000 acres of processing area in and around Visakhapatnam and Visakhapatham ITIR Project Proposal shall be prepared and made ready for submission to GOI in the next one week.
