Hyderabad, Jan 4 : GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar has expressed his dissatisfaction over the non furnishing of information as per prescribed proforma which can give a clear picture of various points of the road at any given point of time. The Commissioner along with Navin Mittal, Special Commissioner, held a review meeting on engineering works in Panwar Hall Today.
While interacting with the Officers the Commissioner stressed to furnish the entire details in prescribed proforma which can enable the GHMC to fix the responsibility of a particular stretch on the officer concerned and to take up immediate repairs whenever necessary. He has directed the Deputy Commissioner and Executive Engineer concerned to conduct a survey on stagnation points of their jurisdiction, basing on which he can give specific sanctions at the earliest. The Commissioner further hoped that this exercise will enable GHMC to see that there would not be any further stagnation points even if there is a heavy rain.
The Commissioner directed the Heads of the Departments to the works taken up from the last 4 years to be written on a wall near to the work site to know the present status about the works taken up and its clarity since 4 years. He also directed all the SEs and EEs to furnish the reasons for road damage with proper solutions along with the proposals to get sanctions in order to take up the works on priority.
Somesh Kumar said that he is receiving several complaints on various plat forms of GHMC such as Call Centre / Praja Vani and Face to Face programme to protect the open spaces of GHMC from encroachments and directed the Deputy Commissioners and the executive engineers concerned to personally visit each and every site and to submit a report to get sanction for construction of compound walls.
